Felling, (Arthur H.) “Weegee” (1899–1968) photojournalist; born in Zloczew, Poland. He was often first to crime scenes in Manhattan, selling his stark, graphic photos to dailies and the wire services (1936–45). He went to Hollywood in 1947 as a technical adviser for films.
