Ferguson, Homer (1889–1982) judge, U.S. senator; born in Harrison City, Pa. After serving on the Michigan circuit court, he was elected to the U.S. Senate (Rep., Mich.; 1943–55). He was appointed ambassador to the Philippines in 1955.
