Ferré, Théophile Charles Gilles 

Born May 6, 1846, in Paris; died Nov. 28, 1871, in Satory. Member of the Paris Commune of 1871. Blanquist.

Ferré participated in the republican and socialist movements of the 1860’s. He was elected to the Paris Commune. A delegate of the Commission of General Security, he became assistant public prosecutor. He advocated the establishment of the Committee of Public Safety. Ferré was sentenced to death by the Versaillais and was shot.
