Colortherm yellow iron oxides and zinc ferrites with improved temperature capabilities offer superior lightfastness, can be compounded in concentrate, and find applications in polyolefins and some engineering plastics. Prospects for bonded ferrites and bonded rare earths have never been as bright as today, according to Intertech, with global sales forecast to total over $2 billion by 2005. Early studies addressed materials such as spinels and ferrites, followed by rare-earth intermetallics (2) and rare earth hydrides (3). |
