Fibonacci number [¦fib·ə¦nä·chē ′nəm·bər]
(mathematics)
A number in the Fibonacci sequence whose first two terms aref1=f2= 1.

Fibonacci Number 

any term in the recursive number sequence 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8,.... In this sequence, which is called a Fibonacci sequence, each term, after the second, is the sum of the two previous terms. Fibonacci numbers are named for the medieval mathematician Leonardo Fibonacci.
