Finansy SSSR 

(Public Finance in the USSR), a specialized journal published each month by the Ministry of Finance of the USSR. Published in Moscow since 1926, the journal was first known as Finansy i narodnoe khoziaistvo (Public Finance and the National Economy). Its present name dates from July 1954.

Finansy SSSR publishes articles on public finance and fiscal policy in socialist and capitalist countries. There are also articles on the state budget, the finances of enterprises and sectors of the economy, the financing of capital investments, the financial control system, and state insurance. Improvements in financial and credit operations are discussed, as are the possibilities of using computers for financial work in planning, recordkeeping, and control. The journal also includes information on scholarly meetings and conferences devoted to financial topics. Circulation, 33,500 (1975).
