Finch, Vernor (Clifford) (1883–1959) geographer; born near Tecumseh, Mich. He was a faculty member at the University of Wisconsin (1911–1951). With O. E. Baker he coauthored the Atlas of World Agriculture, used for decades as a text for agricultural geography. He contributed much to the dot-map technique and the "fractional" method of representation of landscapes.
