Finelli, Giuliano (j lyä`nō fēnĕl`lē), 1605–57, Italian sculptor. Working as assistant to Bernini, Finelli rejected the baroque aesthetic and adopted a mannered style of expression influenced by Cortona. Finelli spent his last years in Naples, where he made bronze sculptures of saints Peter and Paul for the cathedral. |
