Fink, Max (1923– ) psychiatrist, psychiatric educator; born in Vienna, Austria. He came to this country in the late 1930s and would become professor of psychiatry at State University of New York: Stony Brook (1972). In the 1950s and 1960s he and coworkers pioneered the field of pharmaco-electroencephalography, the EEG analysis of the effects of drugs. He also became an authority on electroconvulsive therapy and coauthored the principal texts on the subject. How to thank TFD for its existence?
