Fisenko, Anatolii Stepanovich
Born July 6 (19), 1902, in Moscow. Soviet architect. Honored Architect of the RSFSR (1971). Member of the CPSU since 1957. Fisenko studied at the Moscow Higher Technical School under A. V. Kuznetsov and V. A. Vesnin from 1919 to 1925. He taught at the Bauman Moscow Higher Technical School from 1925 to 1932 and at the V. V. Kuibyshev Military Engineering Academy from 1932 to 1936. In 1939 he began teaching at the Moscow Architectural Institute, becoming a professor in 1946. Fisenko was a pioneer in Soviet industrial architecture. Working with other architects, he designed the laboratories and pilot production plant of the Central Aerohydrodynamics Institute (1925–27), the laboratories of the All-Union Electrical Engineering Institute in Moscow (1925–27), and the Cheliabinsk Tractor Plant (1930–33). He also supervised the construction and reconstruction of the Gorky Motor Vehicle Plant (from 1934). Fisenko has been awarded two orders and various medals.
