Fisher, Donald G. (1928– ) retail executive; born in San Francisco. He earned a B.S. in business administration from the University of California: Berkeley (1950). With his wife, Doris, he cofounded the Gap Stores, Inc. in California in 1969. As chairman and CEO, he built Gap into a major retail chain famous for its casual clothing, with more than 1,200 outlets worldwide.
