Flint, Richard Foster 

Born Mar. 1, 1902, in Chicago; died June 6, 1976, in New Haven, Conn. American geologist.

Flint received a Ph.D. in geology in 1925. He became a professor at Yale University in 1945. His major works dealt with geology, paleogeography, the history of climates in the Pleistocene and Holocene, the study of the stratigraphy and lithology of glacial and glaciofluvial deposits, the absolute radiocarbon dating of the Pleistocene glaciations of North America, and glaciology.
