Fornax cluster [′fȯr‚naks ‚kləs·tər]
(astronomy)
A cluster of galaxies with a few tens of members, about 30 megaparsecs (6 × 1019miles or 9 × 1019kilometers) distant.

Located in a region of the Fornax cluster examined by a slew of other telescopes, UDF "takes us to within a stone's throw of the Big Bang itself," says Massimo Stiavelli of the Space Telescope Science Institute in Baltimore.
