Fort Loudoun State Historic Park Location: Off US 411 to TN 360. Facilities: Picnic areas, hiking trails, visitor center, museum. Activities: Boating, canoeing, water-skiing, fishing, swimming, hiking, living history demonstrations. Special Features: Site of one of the earliest fortifications on the western frontier, built by British soldiers in 1756. Today a reconstruction of the fort overlooks the Tellico Reservoir and the Appalachian Mountains.
