Frank, John P. (Paul) (1917– ) lawyer, author; born in Appleton, Wis. A legendary appellate lawyer with Lewis & Roca in Phoenix, Ariz., (1954), he taught at several law schools (1946–72) and was the lead winning counsel in Miranda v. Arizona (1966). In addition to his heavy load of corporate cases, he was active in fighting for what he regarded as the rights of the legal profession. His eleven books include Lincoln as a Lawyer (1961).
