Franklin Park, village (1990 pop. 18,485), Cook co., NE Ill., a suburb of Chicago; inc. 1892. It is chiefly residential.

Special Features: Designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, the park is the "pendant" of Boston's Emerald Necklace chain of public spaces and the largest greenspace in the city.
