Fading that is different at different frequencies in a frequency band occupied by a modulated wave, causing distortion that varies in nature from instant to instant.

OFDM are robust to frequency selective fading channels for OFDM systems use the discrete Fourier transform (DFT) to modulate the data on orthogonal frequency carriers and effectively divide the wideband channel into a number of narrowband flat channels.
Figure 6 shows a six-path frequency selective fading channel that has been used for the reverse link.
