Fria 

a city in the southwestern part of the Republic of Guinea; capital of Fria Region. Population, more than 15,000. Fria is linked by rail with Conakry. The city’s alumina-processing plant, which produces approximately 500,000 tons annually, is supplied by a nearby bauxite deposit. Fria has a fossil-fuel-fired steam power plant.
