Fuente Obejuna or Fuenteovejuna (both: fwān`tā ōvāh
`nä), town (1990 pop. 6,833), Córdoba prov., S Spain, in Andalusia. An important farm center with livestock-raising and food-processing industries, the town is especially noted for its honey. Lumber, coal, and lead are exploited in the area. In 1430, Fuente Obejuna was given to the Knights of Calatrava Knights of Calatrava , Spain's oldest military order, whose original seat was the now ruined fortress of Calatrava la Vieja in Ciudad Real prov., central Spain......
