Fujisawa

Fujisawa (fjē`säwä), city (1990 pop. 350,330), Kanagawa prefecture, central Honshu, Japan, on Sagami Bay. It is an industrial and residential suburb of Tokyo, known for the production of automobiles, electric appliances, and iron goods. Fujisawa is also a resort town noted for its Shojokoji (Buddhist) temple.

a city in Japan, on the island of Honshu, in Kanagawa Prefecture, near Yokohama. Population, 254,600 (1973). Fujisawa produces transport equipment and ball bearings. The city also has steel foundries. A seaside resort is located on the shore of the Sagami Sea.

will suspend operations at its truck-assembly factory in Fujisawa, Kanagawa Prefecture, and at its engine factory in Ohira, Tochigi Prefecture, for six days in April, in the wake of March's similar halts lasting for up to nine days, company officials said.
A total of eight lectures were given between June 18 and July 18 on subjects such as international relations, geo-informatics and digital Asia, IT strategy in Japan, and businesses in a networked environment, according to Keiko Okawa, an assistant professor at the Keio Graduate School of Media and Governance in Fujisawa, Kanagawa Prefecture.
In March 2008, the Tokyo District Court convicted Ojima of defrauding 11 buyers of a condominium in Fujisawa, Kanagawa Prefecture, of a total of 414 million yen in October 2005 by selling them the condo units even though he knew the building's quake-resistance data were fabricated and its safety unconfirmed.
