Fuss, Pavel Nikolaevich
(also Paul Heinrich von Fuss). Born May 21, 1798, in St. Petersburg; died there Jan. 10, 1855. Russian mathematician. Member of the St. Petersburg Academy of Sciences (1823; adjunct, 1818). Son of N. I. Fuss. P. N. Fuss was made permanent secretary of the St. Petersburg Academy of Sciences in 1826. He published the correspondence of L. Euler with C. Goldbach and D.
