6 billion, the 6% growth in September was largely driven by currency and crude oil futures contracts.
In addition to activity in currencies, DGCX also traded 50,182 gold and 13,311 WTI crude oil futures contracts in August, down 33 per cent and up 43 per cent respectively on 2008.
The increase in demand for this fund became so large that it was actually moving the price of oil as it rolled from one futures contract to the next.
