GOS (1) See guest operating system.(2) (gOS) A Linux-based operating environment from Good OS LLC (www.thinkgos.com). Pronounced "gee-ohss," it uses the Ubuntu operating system and includes many Google applications, including Gmail, Google Docs (word processing, spreadsheet and presentation). In late 2007, Everex introduced the "gPC," a gOS-based PC featured at Wal-Mart without a monitor for $199. The stock was sold out almost immediately. Google... Not! Good OS LLC is not affiliated with Google; however, because gOS includes so much Google software, it is sometimes referred to as "Google OS." Want to thank TFD for its existence?
