GDDR

(Graphics DDR) Double data rate (DDR) memory that is used on graphics cards for fast rendering. Although GDDR is based on DDR memory technologies, the versions do not correspond numerically; for example, GDDR3 was based on DDR2 chips and so on. Each generation of GDDR includes different types of enhancements. See DDR and SDRAM.
