(1) (Global mobile Suppliers Association, Sawbridgeworth, U.K., www.gsacom.com) A membership organization of suppliers of GSM products and services. Its goal is to promote GSM as the worldwide mobile communications standard. See GSM Association and GSM.

(2) (General Services Administration) The department within the U.S. government that is responsible for procurement of goods and services.

Program managers responsible for security say GSA schedules are complicated and confusing, according to a survey by the Coalition for Government Procurement.
In 2000 the judiciary requested and GSA proposed building a new courthouse in downtown Los Angeles in order to increase security, efficiency, and space.
The GSA is interested in not only doing business with bigger businesses such as IBM or Chrysler, the government loves to buy from and contract with small businesses.
