Following the success of this excellent consumer health resource, Gale Group published a number of other works, including the Gale Encyclopedia of Alternative Medicine (Krapp and Longe, 2001), the Gale Encyclopedia of Cancer (Thackery, 2001), the Gale Encyclopedia of Genetic Disorders (Blachford, 2002), the Gale Encyclopedia of Mental Disorders (Thackery, 2003), and the Gale Encyclopedia of Surgery (Senagore, 2004). Sleeping Bear Press (Chelsea, MI) continues the divestitutre of its publishing divisions with the sale of its Childrens's Division to Gale Group (Farmington Hills, MI) and its inventory of golf, sports and regional books to a new company, Clock Tower Press (Chelsea, MI).
