Game Blaster

An earlier sound card from Creative Labs that included a stereo 12-voice MIDI synthesizer. Originally introduced in 1987 as the Creative Music System (C/MS), it was renamed Game Blaster shortly thereafter. Game Blaster cards evolved into the Sound Blaster standard.

subsidiary Creative Labs today announced Game Blaster CD(TM) 16, the first multimedia kit based on MPC Level 2 requirements and targeted specifically at PC game enthusiasts.
Each title bundled with Game Blaster CD 16 supports Creative's standard-setting Sound Blaster audio platform and runs at optimum performance on the featured CD-ROM drive.
Also included in Game Blaster CD 16 is Creative's double speed, XA-ready CD-ROM drive, which features multi-session photo CD compatibility and offers a 320 ms access rate, exceeding the MPC 2 recommended rate of 400 ms.
Game Blaster CD 16 features an assortment of eleven popular game titles from leading software providers.
