(gănənŏk`wē, –wə), town (1991 pop. 5,209), SE Ont., Canada, on the St. Lawrence River. It has steel- and copperworks. A summer resort, it is a starting point for excursions to the Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes.
The 2017 exhibition sites are the Firehall Theatre, Gananoque, Ontario (October 2017); the Peel Art Gallery, Brampton, Ontario (November 4, 2017 -January 8, 2018); and the Artport Gallery, Harbourfront Centre, Toronto, Ontario (February 2-April 22, 2018).
