Isakovich, Garol’d Grigor’evich 

Born Nov. 7, 1931, in Moscow. Soviet architect.

Isakovich studied under B. S. Mezentsev at the Moscow Institute of Architecture from 1950 to 1956. His works include housing projects in the towns of Balashikha, Voskresensk, and Dzer-zhinsk (1956–59); laboratory buildings for chemical plants in Moscow and Kazan (1958–59); administrative buildings on the highway through the Hindu Kush in Afghanistan (1963–64); the design for a central square in Tula (under construction since 1970); and the Lenin Memorial in Ul’ianovsk (1970, jointly with B. S. Mezentsev, M. P. Konstantinov, and other architects; Lenin Prize, 1972).
