Gault, Stanley C. (Carleton) (1926– ) manufacturing executive; born in Wooster, Ohio. At General Electric (1948–79) he specialized in consumer products and major appliances. He was later chairman of the board and CEO of Rubbermaid (1980–91), where he instituted rigorous management shakeup and quality controls to make the company a market leader. In 1991 he became CEO of Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company.
