Location:8 miles south of Somerset on US 27.
Facilities:94 campsites with utility hookups, 2 central service buildings with showers and restrooms, 18-hole golf course, picnic areas, 2 picnic shelters (one with restrooms), playground, swimming pool, concession stand, boat ramp, marina with boat rentals (nearby).
Activities:Camping, swimming, fishing, boating, golf.
Special Features:Park is named for General Ambrose Burnside, who led patrols along the Cumberland River and circled this island while on the lookout for Confederate soldiers.
