genlock

(GENerator LOCKing) Synchronizing multiple video signals from cameras, video recorders and external sources. Genlock emits a signal for each frame, and professional video equipment has a dedicated sync port for this function. A frame's timecode is also used for synchronization; however, the clocks in each device may not be 100% precise, and recordings can drift.

SDI video output - effects are composited in real-time with 2K, HD and SD video, providing an integrated graphics-to-video solution which can be genlocked to external house sync, or synced to the SDI input.
The LMH1982 produces a top of frame (TOF) timing pulse output and can generate two simultaneous standard-definition (SD) and high-definition (HD) output clocks genlocked to the recovered H and V syncs from either a Xilinx Virtex-5 LXT FPGA, or from the outputs of a LMH1981 sync separator.
The video outputs can be genlocked to an external source for use with mixing and overlay devices.
