Numerous bird's-eye structures and rugs in the Eel Bed of the Kokomo Limestone are filled with calcite, dolomite or geopetal fill and clearly indicate a supratidal depositional environment.
Gastropods are the dominant fossils, but there are also bivalves (some in life position), and brachiopods with geopetal infilling.
