George L. Smith State Park Location: 4 miles southeast of Twin City off GA 23. Facilities: 25 tent/trailer/RV campsites, pioneer campground, 4 cottages, 4 picnic shelters, winterized group shelter, trails (7 miles), lake, boat ramp, canoe/pedal boat rentals. Activities: Camping, boating (10 HP limit), fishing, canoeing, hiking, biking, birding. Special Features: Named after one of Georgia's great legislators, the park is best known for the newly refurbished Parrish Mill, a combination grist mill, saw mill, covered bridge, and a dam built in 1880 (open for tours).
