Gimrinskii Range

a mountain range in the northern Caucasus, in the Dagestan ASSR. It forms the northeast boundary of interior Dagestan. It stretches 60-65 km along the Avarskoe Koisu (lower reaches) and Sulak rivers, rising abruptly above them. Highest point, 2,338 m. The range is composed of limestone. Its slopes are covered with mountain steppes and mountain meadows, xerophytic vegetation, and some forests.
