Glick, George Washington (1827–1911) governor; born in Fairfield County, Ohio. He was admitted to the bar in Ohio (1850) and he moved to Kansas in 1859. He served eight terms in the Kansas legislature and became the first Democratic governor of Kansas (1883–85). He later served on the state board of agriculture.
