We have used the magnetostratigraphic susceptibility technique to establish high resolution correlation among Paleocene/Eocene (P/E) boundary sequences in Egypt, Spain and the US with reference to the Global Boundary Stratotype Section and Point (GSSP), defining the base of the Eocene, located near Luxor in Egypt.
