Goldsmith, Grace Arabell (1904–75) physician; born in St. Paul, Minn. She earned an M.D. at Tulane University, where, on the medical school faculty (1936–75), she pioneered nutritional training for medical students. Her research on nutritional deficiency diseases, B-complex vitamins, and vitamin enrichment of foods were important contributions to public health.
