Gomati

Gomati 

a river in India: a left tributary of the Ganges in the middle of its course. Length, approximately 800 km. The entire Gomati basin is within the borders of the Indo-Gangetic Plain. Its low water is from October through May, and its high water lasts the rest of the year. Floods sometimes occur in the summer. The river is used for irrigation. The city of Lucknow is located on the Gomati.
