A gathering and loading assembly for coal, consisting of a shovel trough with a shovel head fitting inside the feeder trough, an operating carrier which controls the connection between these troughs, a sliding shoe which moves to and fro on the floor of the seam, a swivel trough, and a pendulum jack; it loads the coal into the shaker conveyor pan column.
