Google Docs

A family of Web-based applications from Google that includes word processing, spreadsheet and presentations. Launched in 2006, the word processor in Google Docs was formerly Writely, developed by Upstartle, LLC and acquired by Google. Documents can be uploaded and downloaded in Word, OpenOffice, RTF, HTML or text formats and also downloaded as PDF files.

Spreadsheets can be uploaded and downloaded in Excel, OpenOffice and comma delimited (CSV) formats. Like the word processing document, a spreadsheet can also be downloaded in PDF. See Google Apps and Google.
