Facilities:Picnic areas, hiking and ski trails (11 miles), concessions, shoreline, showers, boat launch, scenic vista (é).
Activities:Boating, canoeing, fishing, ice fishing, swimming, hiking, cross-country skiing, naturalist programs (seasonal).
Special Features:Located on Lake Mendota, within sight of the state capitol building. Park includes several effigy mounds, the most striking being a 358-foot panther-shaped mound.
