Numerous hydroelectric power plants are found there. The Grampians are a popular vacation area. Grampians, theMountain range, southwestern Victoria, Australia. Composed mainly of hard sandstone, the range is noted for deep gorges, weathered rock formations, and wildflowers. The highest peak, Mount William, rises to 3,829 ft (1,167 m).
