Location: 7 miles east of Pascagoula, Mississippi, and 20 miles west of Mobile, Alabama. Facilities: Viewing sites. Activities: Boating, canoeing, fishing, hunting, educational programs. Special Features: The refuge's coastal marshes contribute essential food and cover for many varieties of marine animals, including spotted seatrout, red drum, flounder, blue crab, and shrimp. Habitats: 14,000 acres of tidal marsh and pine savanna. Proposed acquisition will encompass 32,000 acres. Access: Year round during daylight hours.
