Gray, Harry

Gray, Harry (Jack) (1919–  ) industrialist; born in Milledgeville Crossroads, Ga. After an early career in sales, he worked for Litton Industries (1956–71). As president, CEO, and chairman (1971–86) he transformed United Aircraft into United Technologies, a conglomerate of companies poised to take advantage of massive research and development expenditures, particularly in microelectronics. He was later chairman and CEO of American Medical Holdings, Dallas, Texas.
