Great River Bluffs State Park Location: Off County Road 3, 20 miles southeast of Winona at the junction of US Highway 61 and I-90. Facilities: 31 drive-in campsites, showers (é), flush toilets (é), 5 bike-in campsites, group camp, picnic area (é), playground (é), hiking trails (6.5 miles), self-guided trails (2.5 miles), ski trails (9 miles), skate-ski trail (1 mile), sliding hill, snowshoe rentals, gift shop. Activities: Camping, hiking, cross-country skiing, skate-skiing, snow sledding, snowshoeing, birdwatching. Special Features: Park contains two Scientific and Natural Areas, King's and Queen's Bluff. The King's Bluff trail offers a breathtaking view of the Mississippi River Valley, which is a major flyway for waterfowl, eagles, and hawks.
