Established: Transferred from Public Housing Authority on August 3, 1950.
Location:In Greenbelt, Maryland, 12 miles from downtown Washington, DC, and 23 miles from Baltimore. The Baltimore-Washington Parkway passes through the park.
Facilities:Campground (é), picnic area, rest rooms (é), self-guided nature trails.
Activities:Camping (year-round), hiking, bicycling, horseback riding, guided programs.
Special Features:This woodland park offers urban dwellers access to many forms of outdoor recreation.
