Griffith, Emile (Alphonse)(born Feb. 3, 1938, U.S. Virgin Islands) U.S. boxer. Griffith began his professional career in 1958. He won three world championships as a welterweight (1961, 1962, 1963) and two as a middleweight (1966, 1967), an achievement surpassed only by Sugar Ray Robinson's total of six.
