Grindall Island State Marine Park Location: In southeast Alaska, west of Ketchikan. Accessible only by plane or boat. Facilities: Public-use cabin, trails, toilets. Activities: Boating, fishing, hiking, scuba diving, beachcombing. Special Features: Grindall Island is a protected holdover spot for small boats venturing across Clarence Strait from Ketchikan during stormy weather.
