Although best known as a comedian, he's diversified over the years with his CV including roles in 'straight' plays such as The Nerd and Rosencrantz And Guildenstern Are Dead, panto, and voice work - which he loves - for films including Hollywood cartoon Horton Hears A Who.
Stoppard, born in what is now the Czech Republic, wrote the play "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead" and the screenplays for "Empire of the Sun" and "Shakespeare in Love," for which he won an Oscar.
